Heritage Collection

On our Heritage Collection Desert Safaris we serve authentic Arabic cuisine. Unlike other Desert Safari companies, we believe that one of the best ways for guests to discover a new country is through experiencing the cuisine. That’s why on the evening Desert Safaris we serve a 4-course dinner of local favourites like lamb ouzi, kibbeh, the popular Arabic doughnut luquimat and more. Throughout this dining experience our guests get to learn about the cultural significance of the dishes and try some unusual traditions like camel meat stew. On our morning Desert Safaris guests enjoy a traditional Emirati breakfast with local favourites like foul medames and Arabic bread.

Our Chefs

Our team of chefs have worked meticulously to create suitable menus for all of our Desert Safaris. Considering the remote desert location of our experiences, it is quite impressive what these chefs can create. All of our desert venues have kitchen and cooking facilities. At our Bedouin Heritage camps and Private Cabana Desert Oasis we also have barbecues built onsite.

Ramadan Food

Ramadan is the holy month in the Islamic calendar and during this time, Muslims fast from sunrise to sunset. The fast is traditionally broken at sunset, often with two dates and a drink of water. After this is iftar which is normally a lavish buffet meal comprised of many delicious Arabic dishes. Iftar is one of the traditions observed during Ramadan and is often enjoyed with family and friends coming together to break their fast as a community. Every night during Ramadan, we serve a traditional iftar on our Heritage Desert Safaris; our guests learn about the traditions of Ramadan and try a variety of popular iftar dishes.
