1950s Traditional Iftar in Dubai Experience
Take a step back in time and experience a traditional iftar in Dubai as it was 50 years ago. Meet us daily throughout Ramadan at the entrance to the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve for a journey that many of us living in Dubai rarely take with an authenticity that no ordinary venue in Dubai can match.
Travel in 1950’s vintage Land Rovers to an authentic Bedouin camp, lit with the gentle flames of traditional lamps nestled inside a private Royal desert retreat. Witness a spectacular sunset falcon show and break the fast with sparkling date juice, dates with chami cheese and fruit platters. Join a local Bedouin to hear stories about Ramadan and his culture.
Enjoy a scrumptious traditional Iftar dinner under the Arabian star-lit sky and relax in luxury majilis. Throughout the evening experience cultural activities such as falconry, henna tattoos and Arabic bread and coffee making. Learn about how the Bedouin relied on the stars of Arabia for navigation and storytelling in an astronomy session with our resident Astronomer.
*Please note this activity does not include a wildlife drive or hotel pick up. If you would like to experience a full desert safari with Iftar please see our Iftar Desert Safari
